§ 1 Scope and contracting party

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders that you place via our online shop at altairluggage.com.

Our offering is addressed both to consumers and to traders. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or self-employed professional activity.

Deviating terms and conditions of the customer are not recognised unless we expressly agree to their application in writing.

§ 2 Conclusion of contract

The presentation of the products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but a non-binding invitation to place an order.

By clicking the order button, you submit a binding offer to purchase the items in your basket. Immediately after submitting your order, you will receive a confirmation of receipt of your order by email. This confirmation of receipt does not yet constitute acceptance of your offer.

The purchase contract is concluded when we expressly accept your order or when we ship the goods to you and inform you of this with a shipping confirmation.

We retain the order details. The order information is displayed in the language selected at checkout, where available.

§ 3 Prices

Prices are displayed in the currency shown for your market and order. The prices and charges shown at checkout before you place your order apply.

§ 4 Shipping costs

We do not charge shipping fees for countries offered at checkout. The total price and available delivery options are displayed before you place your order. Import duties or handling charges may apply outside the European Union unless explicitly included at checkout.

§ 5 Payment

You can use the payment methods offered at checkout. The purchase price is due for payment upon conclusion of the contract.

Payment is processed via the payment service providers displayed at checkout. Your payment data is processed exclusively by these service providers; we do not receive any complete card details.

§ 6 Delivery

We deliver to countries offered for your order at checkout. Availability may vary with the delivery address.

The estimated delivery time is 5 to 15 working days from receipt of the order. The actual duration may depend on the destination and carrier. See Delivery & Shipping and any estimate shown at checkout for your order.

Should an ordered product unexpectedly not be available, we will inform you without undue delay and refund any payments already made without undue delay.

Partial deliveries are permissible insofar as they are reasonable for you; you will not incur any additional costs as a result.

§ 7 Retention of title

The delivered goods remain our property until payment has been made in full.

§ 8 Right of withdrawal

Your statutory cancellation or return rights depend on the law that applies to your purchase. Where UK or EU distance-selling law applies, see our Cancellation rights page for the relevant period and procedure. No reason or prior approval from ALTAIR is required to exercise a statutory right within the applicable period.

For ALTAIR suitcases, we also offer a voluntary 100-day return guarantee. It is additional to, and does not limit, your statutory rights.

§ 9 Statutory warranty

Your rights if goods are faulty are governed by the consumer law that applies to your purchase. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

Please report defects by email to contact@altairluggage.com, ideally with photos and your order number. This helps us review the issue.

§ 10 ALTAIR guarantee

In addition to your statutory rights, ALTAIR offers a voluntary guarantee for its suitcases. It covers defects in materials and manufacture on the terms described in the ALTAIR Guarantee. It does not limit your statutory rights.

§ 11 Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory product liability. Any other limitation applies only to the extent permitted by the law governing your purchase.

§ 12 Vouchers and discount codes

Discount codes are valid only for the period and purpose specified in each case and cannot be paid out in cash.

Whether a discount code can be combined with another offer or a multi-suitcase discount depends on the terms shown for that code. The discount that applies to your order is displayed at checkout before you place it.

§ 13 Dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If you have any problems, please contact us directly first.

§ 14 Applicable law

German law applies, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection granted to you by mandatory provisions of the law of the state in which you have your habitual residence.

§ 15 Final provisions

Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become wholly or partly invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
